Principal Consultant, Founder

Michael Uzar MJ, PT, DPT, CPHRM is a certified healthcare risk management professional who has experience working in clinical risk management, insurance procurement and claims management functions. Mike has been a part of teams managing risk for multiple large healthcare organizations performing all aspects of risk management for healthcare ranging from Emergency Department and Critical Care (ICU), to Home Health and nearly everything in between. Mike most recently was responsible developing and implementing a risk management program for a health system that provided care across the continuum including inpatient hospitals, urgent care centers, ambulatory specialty practices and home health. Mike has worked with complex cases that involve adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics. He has provided consultative work in special projects involving health law, regulatory compliance, and medical negligence. Mike has taken a special interest in helping healthcare providers navigate the management of cases that require service recovery with patients/family who have experienced unanticipated outcomes  resulting in harm and often leading to complaints and even requests for compensation.
